A proven record of safety

More than 10,000 Immobilizers are currently in service, and there have been no known incidents of injury or death associated with their use.  The low-level of voltage and current produced by the unit poses no electrical hazard to either the animal or the operator.  In fact, the animal experiences lower level of stress.
The Immobilizer also reduces the risks associated with the use of general anesthesia.  Because large-animal anesthesia is a relatively imprecise science, animal deaths occasionally result from its use.  But the Immobilizer eliminates the need for general anesthesia, also eliminating the risks associated with it.
